How will you serve the needs of my child?
Our program is student-focused, starting with an assessment of their current strengths and challenges, then an individualized learning program with a focus on ensuring that foundational skills in reading and mathematics are strengthened before adding additional skills in a series of progressional steps.
What is the dress code of Achieve Academy?
According to our School Handbook, the dress code is to look like an achiever. Students wear Achieve uniform on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of each week. On Thursday and Friday, they can choose their outfits as long as they look ready to achieve. No crop tops, short shorts, or rip jeans on any school day, please.
Do the students take part in extracurricular activities?
We have a diverse extracurricular program depending on the funding we receive including tennis, music, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, art appreciation, sewing, jewelry design, and many other interesting activities.
What about lunch?
Students bring a packed lunch and snack each day. There are microwaves and refrigerators available if needed. Water is the only drink allowed in the classroom.
Is there a summer program?
Achieve Academy is a year-round school with a calendar similar to the Houston County School system, in addition to six weeks of a summer academic camp.
Aside from tuition, are there any additional costs?
There is an annual book fee and school supplies fee, and the cost of taking field trips to educational venues around Georgia.
What time does school start?
School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. each day. Students may be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. at no additional cost.
How do I keep informed of my child’s progress?
Parents are invited to get in contact with their classroom teacher and the school principal whenever the need arises. More formal parent-teacher meetings are held regularly to discuss student achievement and important next steps. Students also receive two report cards and two progress reports after each quarter of the school year.
How can I be sure Achieve Academy is the right place for my child?
We encourage potential parents to speak with the parents of our past and current students for a real perspective on the school. We constantly hear the same feedback from our new parents, “you’re a blessing to our family”. We are determined to deliver returns on your investment in your child’s education.
