Achieve Foundation
Achieve Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to develop and deliver academic programs to diverse, challenged, and underrepresented students. Our programs encourage students to become engaged and involved in positive educational activities. Achieve Foundation’s core activities and services include K-12 academic opportunities such as tutoring, summer camp, sustainable gardening, Bored to Boss, a youth entrepreneurship training program, and Reading with Kings, a free literacy program for struggling readers.
Our mission is to achieve educational equality by providing enhanced learning opportunities to K-12 students in Middle Georgia.

“What is the true cost for our children?”
We know that there are many influences on the lives of children today and many of them can be destructive. A child who is struggling academically has lower self-esteem, social isolation, diminished self-worth, increased risk of dropping out, disruptive behavior, family conflict, and are more likely to be influenced negatively. We create programs that allow overlooked youth to feel included, valued, respected, and successful.
“Low literacy levels are a significant predictor of criminal behavior, as individuals with poor literacy skills are less likely to succeed in education and employment, increasing their vulnerability to criminal activiy.” (Shinabarger, 2014)
Achieve Foundation designs programs that teach valuable academic concepts like reading and writing and life skills such as entrepreneurship and gardening. The engaging style of our programs encourage students to get involved and take charge of their educational journey.
